    Born February 15,1957 in Leningrad. Graduated from Leningrad State University Journalistic Faculty. Worked for the "Smena" Newspaper as a reporter and then as Chief Editor of the "Lenin Iskry" newspaper for children.
    Since 1990 has worked as Chief Editor of the "Chas Pik" daily newspaper.
    Member of the St.Petersburg Journalists Union and of the ST. Petersburg Chief Editors Club.
    Winner of the Russian Journalists Union Prize and of a number of other prizes in the Field of Journalism.
    Her husband, Cherkesov V.V., is Chief of the Russian Head Quarters Security Department in St. Petersburg and Leningrad oblast.
    Married, with two children.
